A news conference on the 30-day countdown to the Hangzhou Asian Games was held Thursday in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.
Zhu Qinan, director of the competition department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (HAGOC), said that the overall schedule, units and events of the Hangzhou Asian Games have been finalized and confirmed by the Sports Commission at the Olympic Council Of Asia. The final version of the overall schedule will be announced at the end of August.
The Hangzhou Asian Games will begin on Sept. 23 and end on Oct. 8, comprising 15 competition days. The first gold medal will be awarded on Sept. 24, Zhu said.
