Sixty-one centuries-old trees stand side by side in Hexi Village of Zhuzhou City, central China's Hunan Province.
Despite the average age of over 230 years, these ancient trees still thrive. Their leaves remain lush and green in the summertime. Statistics show that the oldest one has been 600 years old.
The local government has ramped up efforts to protect these trees in recent years, including setting up a nature reserve. All ancient trees in the village have been fully registered, with electronic files established.
