The year's largest supermoon appeared in the night sky on Wednesday evening. In Wanzhou District of Chongqing, many people enjoyed the supermoon, observing the moon and taking photos with mobile phones, cameras, and telescopes.
At about 7:30 p.m., the super blue moon lit up the night sky of Guling Town in Lushan Mountain scenic spot in east China's Jiangxi Province.
This second full moon in a month, called a blue moon, coincided with the moon being closer to Earth in its orbit, making it appear larger, hence a super moon.
