Ganquan Grand Canyon in Ganquan county, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is renowned as "China's Antelope Canyon."
Sunshine casting into the canyon through the fissures turns the rock surface into different tones after being refracted between the two sides of the canyon wall. The angle of the light rays changes throughout the day, making the views of the canyon become more lively.
The canyon was formed by the erosion of local Danxia sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding, over a period of 100 million years.
