Experts and scholars from Canada, Norway, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, and other countries have visited the Mass Art Museum of the Tibet Autonomous Region in Lhasa since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They watched choir performances, Tibetan opera rehearsals, and other training courses during the visit.
Founded in 1975, the Mass Art Museum of the Tibet Autonomous Region offers 13 free training courses for the locals, including Tibetan opera, flute, harp, violin, calligraphy, painting, and other curricula. Statistics suggest that more than 1,000 people attend the training courses each year.
"It doesn't matter whether the children follow an artistic career, because it gives them an early interest in life and discipline," said Pedro Marin, a Brazilian journalist and writer.
