A hovercraft "Longfei 21" from China, bound for the Nizhneleninskoye Port in Russia, departed from the Tongjiang Port in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Wednesday. It marked Tongjiang Port's resumption of transportation to Russia after a three-year hiatus.
Each hovercraft is capable of carrying 12 to 14 passengers with a single trip that takes about 5 minutes, serving as an essential means of transportation to facilitate exchanges between China and Russia.
In order to ensure the rapid customs clearance of passengers, the staff of the Tongjiang Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station coordinated with the ship agencies to gain access to passengers' information in advance, and formulated a limited regional regulatory plan to ensure the safety and stability of the port during transportation.
