China's northernmost ski resort, the Arctic Ski Resort in Mohe, Heilongjiang Province, welcomed its first visitors on Friday. The event attracted over 500 ski enthusiasts and tourists to enjoy the snow and the fun brought by ice and snow sports.
The resort offers a range of entertainment choices for tourists, such as tug-of-war, snow football games, and snowmobile riding.
As the northernmost city in China, Mohe has an extreme minimum temperature of minus 53 degrees Celsius and an annual average temperature of minus 3.5 degrees Celsius. The skiing season of Arctic Ski Resort in Mohe will last from mid-late October to the end of April of the following year.
