The former residence of the renowned late writer Sanmao in Huangjueya Old Street, southwest China's Chongqing, attracted many fans to visit from far away on Tuesday.
Sanmao, born Chen Mao Ping (later renamed Chen Ping), was a novelist, writer, educator, and translator. She was born in China in 1943.
Sanmao's former residence is a two-story wooden house. It is her birthplace, once also lived her parents, sister, and uncle's family. Sanmao had lived in Huangjueya for three years.
Sanmao published "Stories of the Sahara", "Gone with the Rainy Season", and "Red Dust".
