The "Blue Dream Star" cruise liner, sailing under the flag of Liberia, embarked on its voyage on Sunday from the international cruise terminal at Pingtan Port, east China's Fujian Province, heading to Subic in the Philippines.
This marks the first voyage along the Pingtan international cruise route, and the first "Maritime Silk Road" journey from Pingtan Port.
The cruise liner, carrying over 550 passengers, started the sailing that lasted five days and four nights.
To ensure a smooth journey for the cruise liner, the Pingtan Border Inspection Station coordinated with joint inspection stations, the shipping company and shipping agency companies, gained access to the arrival and departure times of the cruise ships and the number of inbound and outbound passengers in advance and optimized the service organizations.
