A "memory cable car," which retraces the old times, officially started operation on Monday in Yubei District, southwest China's Chongqing, attracting many people to the scene.
Cable car, once an important means of transportation of Chongqing, is an indelible part of the memories of many Chongqing residents and a city icon that witnessed the development of Chongqing.
The cable cars, constructed by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Southwest Company, have a total length of 550 meters and are able to run at a speed of 2.4 meters per second with a passenger capacity of 51 people.
