Georg Hoffmann-Kuhnt, a German prosthetic orthotist who came to China in 2007, makes artificial limbs for dozens of amputees annually to help them return to normal life.
During this period, he also led his team to serve athletes and coaches in the Beijing, London, and Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games.
"I built up my studio with a much more family-like and comfortable environment. The patients need to have a hold in the difficult situation and I would like to help the people. My aim is to give as many people as possible good-quality prostheses, and they are coming back into their families, back into their lives, and back into work," Georg told China News Service on Friday.
