Beilun River Bridge in Dongxing, Fangchenggang City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, saw a continuous stream of people heading to China from Vietnam on Tuesday.
A Vietnamese tour guide led 12 people on a cross-border tour to Dongxing. According to her, many young people are curious about China.
In addition to tourists, many people living in the border areas bring goods from China to Vietnam on the Beilun River Bridge. They gather at the borderline in the middle of the bridge to hand over trade goods such as clothing, home decorations, and daily necessities and carry them to and from the Dongxing City of China and Mong Cai in Vietnam at both ends of the bridge.
In recent years, Dongxing and Mong Cai have continuously deepened the connectivity, exchanges, and cooperation in the fields of trade, culture, tourism, education, sports, and health care. Thus, Dongxing and Mong Cai have become the two cities with the most active economic development and the closest exchanges and cooperation along the China-Vietnam border.
