The second lantern art festival at the International Horticultural Exhibition Park kicked off on Thursday in Yanqing district in Beijing.
The event, which covers an area of 300,000 square meters, combines traditional craftsmanship with modern lighting technology, presenting visitors 236 sets of large featured lanterns, a 3,000-meter-long lantern route and 200,000 various lanterns.
The International Horticultural Exhibition Park is expected to carry out performances and folk flower fairs, providing visitors with a unique experience. The art festival will run until March 15, 2024.
The park was unveiled in 2020 at the site of the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition in Yanqing district with a mission to spread ecological civilization far and wide.
