(ECNS) -- During an interview with China News Network, Rana Mitter, ST Lee Chair in US-Asia Relations at the Harvard Kennedy School, expressed his hope of 2024.
"Climate change continues to be one of the most pressing problems for the global community, and it's essential that China and the United States corporate," he said, adding that it's good news to see talks on climate change questions to be "continued and developed into 2024 and beyond."
In addition, Mitter noted that "It's going to be increasingly important for China to make sure in Asia that economic opportunities are provided by opening markets, providing cooperation and collaboration, and making sure that the region remains calm, peaceful and smooth."
"Let's hope it's a peaceful, prosperous and cooperative year with the entire world and China's engagement with it," he said.
