Seven sets of frost-resistant Fuxing intelligent Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) trains are expected to be launched in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, as ice and snow heat up the city's tourism, according to China Railway Harbin Group.
The trains, which will be launched in succession, will run on high-speed railways, connecting Harbin with cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan.
The trains, with automatic anti-freezing functions, can operate normally even in an extremely cold environment of minus 40 degrees Celsius.
