Official statistics showed that over 670,000 high-altitude cookware had been sold in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region in 2023.
It is understood that in high-altitude regions, the high elevation, low air pressure, and low boiling point of water make conventional cooking a time-consuming and laborious process.
The local government has cooperated with cookware enterprises to develop special pressure cookers for families. As of November 2023, nearly 500,000 households had been supplied with locally-produced cookware, benefiting nearly one million people.
