The Fuxing Intelligent Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) CR400BF-Z has been under maintenance at a maintenance station of Xi'an bullet train section in northwest China's Shaanxi Province. This marks the first time that this type of EMU has been introduced to northwest China.
With a length of 211.3 meters, the train boasts a maximum designed speed of 385 km/h. The train has made many innovations in designs and functions. The resistance and noise have been lowered further, thus allowing more passengers to enjoy their ride experience. With a maximum operating speed of 350 km/h, the train will start service during the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush.
The train's appearance adopts the totem elements of dragon and phoenix in traditional Chinese culture, symbolizing "dragon soaring over the seas and phoenix dancing on the clouds." The theme of prosperity brought by the dragon and the phoenix implies good wishes for national prosperity and people's happiness.
