The Dream cruise ship, carrying nearly 600 passengers, set sail from the Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal on Sunday evening and embarked on a journey of four days and three nights to Hue in Vietnam.
It marks the cruise ship's maiden voyage after choosing Sanya as its home port for the next two months.
The Dream cruise ship is the largest international cruise ship in terms of tonnage capacity departing from Sanya in the past decade. The 77,000-tonne vessel has a maximum passenger capacity of 2,360 seats.
The cruise ship has a total of 15 voyages, departing from the Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal to Hong Kong and Vietnam.
