The 38th Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival kicked off on Monday night in Beijing.
This year's festival showcased a spectacular collection of 200 ice sculptures and more than 100 works out of snow.
The gorge was lit up by sets of colorful lanterns, decorative lights on the trees and countless light exhibits. A hundred-meter-long snow carving in the shape of a dragon became the focal point of attention for many tourists.
Covering an area of nearly 250,000 square meters, the event will last until February 28.
