Various rarely seen wild animals, including golden eagles, lynx and wapiti, have been spotted by infrared cameras in the Saihanwula National Nature Reserve in Chifeng City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The golden eagle is a national first-class protected animal in China. The lynx, which looks like a big cat, is a national second-class protected animal in China.

To better protect wildlife, the local authority has implemented natural forests protection measures and carried out operations for banned animal husbandry. At present, there are 3,079 kinds of animals and plants in the Saihanurola National Nature Reserve, including 45 kinds of wild mammals.
