Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon kicks off

The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024, the biggest road running event in Hong Kong, kicked off early Sunday morning.　

About 74,000 runners competed　in the event, marking the sporting event returned to the pre-pandemic scale.　

In addition to full marathon　distance, the race included half marathon, 10 km race, 10 km wheelchair race and wheelchair trial.　

Chen Yufan, a participant from the Chinese mainland, finished first in the men's 10 km race. 　　　

Hong Kong movie star Chow Yun-fat　was also spotted taking　part in the half marathon.
