Kashgar in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Sunday welcomed its first snow in 2024. The heavy snow turned the whole city into a white wonderland.
The earthen architectural complexes in the ancient city of Kashgar have been covered with snow. Tourists can feel the atmosphere of the New Year from red lanterns hanging on the branches. Many local residents and tourists have been attracted to the ancient city to enjoy the snowscape.
The ancient city of Kashgar, located in southwestern Xinjiang, is the largest complex of raw earth buildings still in use in the world.
