Various places in China have greeted the first snowfall in 2024 from Sunday to Monday as a cold wave sweeps across the country's central and southern regions, including Zhejiang, Hubei, and Hunan provinces and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The snowfalls have turned the landmark buildings and scenic spots into an ice world, attracting local residents and tourists despite the freezing cold.
People were spotted taking photos of the snow scenery in popular tourist destinations such as Zhangjiajie scenic spot and the Phoenix (Fenghuang) ancient city in Hunan Province, and tea gardens and rice fields in Guangxi's Guilin and Liuzhou cities.
