John Lee Ka-chiu, chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Secretary for Justice Paul Lam Ting-kwok, and Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung attended a news conference on Tuesday to introduce the work related to the public consultation on Article 23 of the Basic Law of HKSAR.
John Lee announced that the HKSAR government would launch a public consultation on the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law from now on, and would present the relevant work to the Legislative Council on Tuesday afternoon.
Li said the public can submit their views regarding the proposed legislation by Feb. 28.
