Wang Zhenzhong, an inheritor of the bamboo dragon-making craft, recently created and flew a gigantic dragon kite measuring 100 meters long in Shijiazhuang, north China's Hebei Province.
Dragon kites are extremely popular when the Year of the Dragon is approaching. "The kite has a dragon's head and a centipede as its body, symbolizing bumper harvests and peace all year round. Flying a dragon-head kite in the Year of the Dragon is believed to bring happiness and good fortune for the new year," Wang told China News Service.
