Beijing welcomes its first snow in Year of the Loong

Beijing welcomed its first snowfall of Year of the Loong on Tuesday evening.　

Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for road icing at 18:30 on Tuesday.　Snowfall has blanketed some streets in Beijing.　It is estimated that the surface temperature will be below 0℃ by 17:00 on Wednesday, and most areas are prone to road icing.　

China's national observatory on Monday issued a blue alert for heavy snow. Cold waves are expected to hit various areas in China, forecasting plunging temperatures.
