Over 1,100 tourists from 30 foreign countries boarding Zuiderdam cruise ship arrived in Tianjin on Monday, marking the ship's first trip to the North China's coastal city.
The majority of the overseas guests on the cruise ship planned to visit Beijing and Tianjin, while some others will travel to Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Operated by the Holland America Line, the cruise ship, 285.43 meters long and 32.25 meters wide, has a gross 82,800 tonnage with 936 rooms. It can accommodate 2,388 people.
Carrying more than 760 crew members and 1,100 guests, it was scheduled to dock in Tianjin for 2 days.
