The ceremony for the joining of the fourth cross-sea bridge connecting the Macao Peninsula and Macao's Taipa was held on Monday, marking the project's entry into the final stage.
The bridge, with a total length of 3.085 km and a main span of 280 meters, was joined last Tuesday and was the first eight-lane divided bridge in Macao.
Lam Wai Hou, director of the Public Works Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government attended the ceremony and announced the successful completion of the fourth Macao-Taipa bridge's main structure.
The new bridge was on the east side of the Ponte de Amizade, also called the Bridge of Friendship, which was completed in 1994.
