Connecting Chizhou Station and Yixian County East Station in Huangshan City, the Chizhou-Huangshan high-speed railway started test operation in east China's Anhui Province on Tuesday.
With a total length of about 125 kilometers, the railway has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are four stations along the line: Chizhou, Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan West, and Yixian East, among which Jiuhua Mountain and Huangshan West are newly built stations.
The railway, connecting major scenic spots such as the UNESCO World Heritage site Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, and Taiping Lake, will facilitate travel and promote local development upon completion.
