Seeing is believing: Chinese expert debunks 'Peak China' rhetoric

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference 2024 was held from March 26 to 29 in the resort town of Boao, southern China's Hainan Province.　　

In response to flawed Western "Peak China" narrative, Zheng Yongnian, Chairman of the Guangzhou Institute of the Greater Bay Area & Director of Institute for International Affairs, Qianhai of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), debunked the narrative. "It is part of the Western public opinion warfare against China, or the 'economic cognitive warfare'," he said.　

"Seeing is believing. So many people participated in whether the China Development Forum, or the Boao Forum for Asia. They came to see and get to know China, including so many businessmen from the U.S.," he added.
