(ECNS)--The Qingming solar term marks the fifth of China's 24 solar terms and falls on April 4th this year. In Chinese, Qingming literally means "clean" and "bright". The poetic phrase "清明时节雨纷纷" translates to "During the Qingming season, the rain falls incessantly," and was penned by Du Mu, a poet from the Tang Dynasty (618-907). This verse has been ingrained in the hearts of Chinese people and recited since childhood, serving as a symbolic representation of the Qingming Festival. In fact, during Qingming, the weather conditions in the south and north are quite different.
