U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who arrived in Beijing on Saturday evening, went directly to a Sichuan restaurant in Dongcheng District to sample her favorite kind of Chinese food.
Yang Rongliang, head of the restaurant, told a CNS reporter that he presented a Sichuan embroidery embroidered with giant pandas to Yellen, and Yellen presented him with a U.S. Treasury Department souvenir coin in return. "I believe this will also be a testimony to the friendship between China and the United States," Yang said.
