(ECNS)--The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convened its third plenary session in Beijing from July 15 to 18.
Around the topics addressed at the third plenary session, Patrick Nijs, former Belgian Ambassador to China and co-founder of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center, said in a recent interview with China News Network, "I think the green lifestyle in China is coming up."
"China has the best brains in the world in many ways," Nijs believed. Despite the challenges in building an ecological civilization, he asserted that with persistent efforts, the goals can be achieved.
"So the pledge they took to reach peak carbon in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060 is a full Chinese decision," When it comes to carbon emission peak, Nijs believed China will be leading in this area. (By Huang Fang Videographer: He Xianjin)
