Since Macao's return to China 25 years ago, the "green lifeline" for supplying fresh products to Macao via Gongbei Port has become increasingly efficient and smooth.
Over 4.7 million tons of fresh products from the Chinese mainland have been steadily supplied to Macao, accounting for 80 percent of the market demand. These products include fruits, vegetables, poultry, aquatic products from multiple provinces and autonomous regions across the country.
The supply of livestock from the Chinese mainland has now accounted for 100 percent of Macao's market share, vegetables for over 90 percent, and fruits and edible aquatic animals for 70 percent.
