New type of major-country relationship
President Xi Jinping visited U.S. in 2013 to have a summit with his U.S. counterpart Barack to draw a blueprint for China-U.S. relations and develop "trans-Pacific cooperation".
Xi called on the two sides to work together to build a new type of relations between major countries in an innovative and active way to serve the fundamental interests of the two peoples and to promote development and progress of human society.
Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation on climate change and establish a working group on cybersecurity and have regular talks on the issue.
