Rainstorm triggers landslide in SW China (1/3)

A rainstorm-triggered landslide occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on the No. 319 national highway beside the Wulingshan Tunnel in Chongqing on May 22, 2012. The disaster resulted in an accumulation of more than 10,000 cubic meters of earth and stone and cut off traffic from Qianjiang District to Pengshui County, said Zhou Xinguo, deputy director of the district's transportation commission.
