Rains cause economic loss of 1.3 bln yuan in Shanxi's Linxian (1/4)

Photo taken on Aug. 1, 2012 shows the waterlogged clothes hanging in a villager's house after rainstorms in Wujiawan Village of Linxian County, north China's Shanxi Province. Torrential rains lashed Linxian county on July 26 and July 27, damaging roads and telecommunications facilities. Eight people have been confirmed dead, twenty-two others injured and two remain missing so far. The direct economic loss reached 1.3 billion yuan (about 204 million U.S. dollars). (Xinhua/Zhan Yan)
