Herdsmen receive subsidises for grassland protection in NW China (1/2)

Herder Chu Ying who recevied 3,700 yuan (580.9 US dollars) of subsidies for grassland ecology protection last year herds sheep in Jijitan Village of Songshan Township in Tianzhu Tibet Autonomous County, northwest of China's Gansu Province, Aug. 15, 2012. The county has implemented a measure to subsidize local herdsmen to protect grassland ecology since 2011.
