Photo taken on Nov. 22, 2012 shows a walled village in Chebu Village of Dingnan County in Ganzhou City, east China's Jiangxi Province. This clay building was built in 1786, covering an area of 1,300 square meters. The Gannan (southern Jiangxi Province) Hakka walled villages, a special architectural type, was included into China's World Cultural Heritage Tentative List on Nov. 17, 2012. The whole structure of the building resembles a small fortified city, containing halls, storehouses and living areas. It is regarded as the "cradle of Hakka". According to official statistics, there are over 600 such buildings in Gannan at present. (Xinhua/Song Zhenping)
