5.1-magnitude quake jolts NE China's Liaoning (1/8)

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Dengta and Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, at 12:18 p.m. (0418 GTM) on Wednesday. The epicenter, with a depth of about 7 kilometers, was located near Dengta and the Sujiatun District of Shenyang at 41.5 degrees north latitude and 123.2 degrees east longitude. Liu Wenlong, mayor of Dengta, said the city government has not received any reports about casualties or house collapse. But cracks were spotted in houses in some townships.
