Chinese and Japanese enterprises have great potential for future economic cooperation as they are highly complementary, a senior official said Wednesday.
Jiang Zengwei, head of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, made the remarks at a seminar on China-Japan economic cooperation attended by more than 300 representatives from over 140 enterprises from both countries.
Both the Chinese and Japanese government are working to improve the investment environment, which brings a rare historical opportunity to strengthen bilateral economic ties, said Jiang.
Japanese enterprises can help upgrade China's industrial structure through technical innovation exchanges and personnel training with their advantages in various sectors, including intelligent manufacturing and biotechnology, Jiang told the seminar.
Jiang said both countries can advance cooperation in green economy, modern services, communication and information, and that more Japanese enterprises are welcome to seek market opportunities in China.
