The Losar, the New Year in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, is approaching. People in Lhasa are flocking to markets to shop for butter sculptures. It's a traditional custom to purchase these distinctive decorations during Losar. Local craftsmen usually add different pigments to butter to carve religious figures, flowers, and animals.
