(Ecns.cn)--"Happy Farm," a popular online game that allows players to grow crops, trade with others and even steal from neighbors, may become a reality in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, reported the Yangtze Evening Post on Wednesday.

A nearly 1000-mu (or 165-acre) ecological park is under construction in the city, consisting of greenhouses containing log cabins and farmland.

Each greenhouse is equipped with high-tech devices and every scrap of land can be used for growing vegetables. The simply-furnished cabins contain washrooms and are almost ready for guests.

"You can grow flowers or vegetables here and enjoy beautiful stars at night. There is a living room, a bedroom, a washroom and water and electricity in the cabins," explained a worker at the park, who added that people can rent a greenhouse for 350,000 yuan ($55,371) on a 40-year lease.

However, the local government pointed out that the farmland can only be used for agricultural practices, and people are not allowed to build dwellings on it.

An official from the local Bureau of Land and Resources added that the ecological park is illegal, since it involves the construction of residential housing and the leasing of farmland mainly for entertainment.
