Elephant in the Room tramples back onstage

Following its debut last year at the Beijing Youth Theater Festival, musical comedy Elephant in the Room will return to the stage at the People's Art Theater from January 17th to 28th.

"It's a documentary, an absurd theater show of tragedy, comedy and suspense," described the play's director, Mao Ernan.

Drawing the form of a documentary drama and integrating the latest catchphrases and buzzwords, the play explores the contrast between silence and noise. It aims to enlighten audiences by proving that sometimes the biggest tragedy is not from villains' actions, but rather from when good people do nothing.
