A work team of China's Ministry of Commerce arrived here Saturday night to discuss with Libyan authorities on protecting assets of Chinese companies and its participation in the North African country's post-war reconstruction.
The work team, led by Wang Shenyang, director of the ministry's foreign investment and economic cooperation department, would visit Libya from Saturday to Wednesday.
The team also includes representatives from Chinese companies that have business operations in Libya.
It would visit Tripoli and the eastern city of Benghazi to check the damage to Chinese companies' assets caused by Libya's civil conflicts and talked with Libyan officials on future operation of China's uncompleted projects in the country.
The projects mainly involve housing, railways and telecommunications, which will benefit the Libyan people's livelihoods.
Libya has expressed welcome for China's participation in its post-war reconstruction, and China is willing to support the participant companies to make full play of their advantages to further expand bilateral economic cooperation.
