Positive feedback
Over the years Jue has received positive feedback from its partners and audiences. This is the third year for the Shanghai Repertory Theater to be part of Jue. "The festival organizers have done a good job in bringing artists and non-traditional events here, and their profile is growing by word of mouth," Rosita Janbakhsh, the executive producer of the theater group said. "And it provides a good platform for us to see what the other artists are doing. And the festival also brings us more media attention."
Tim Franco, the curator of Shanghai Photography Night which is appearing at Jue for the second time said: "I think the idea of having multiple events and a variety of arts in Shanghai is great. During a few weeks, musicians, artists, photographers come together to share their creativity and this gives them a great way to show their work."
