Environment minister Zhou Shengxian yesterday apologized to Beijing delegates during a two sessions meeting over the runaway nitrogen oxide pollution in the air of the capital, the Beijing Evening News reported.
"I feel sorry that we failed to meet the quota of nitrogen oxide reduction for last year," Zhou said, adding his ministry aims to achieve zero nitrogen oxide increase in the capital's air this year.
