All 15 victims have been identified after the bus they were traveling in Tuesday crashed in Aba Tibetan-Qiang autonomous prefecture in Sichuan Province, local police said Wednesday.
Twelve of the 15 victims were local residents of Sichuan and three were from neighboring regions, said local police.
One of the six injured is still in critical condition and the other five are in stable condition.
The accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The bus, carrying 21 people, plunged into a ravine located about 1 km away from a tunnel exit positioned on the side of Zhegu Mountain.
According to the preliminary investigation, the bus hit the road guardrail and knocked down a wire pole before it crashed into the deep ravine, said local police.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
