2012-03-16 11:30 Xinhua     Web Editor: Xu Rui comment

Beijing Ducks will move their home court to the Wukesong Stadium if they enter the finals of the Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA).

"Sunday's match against Shanxi Zhongyu, the fifth of the semifinal series, will be the last match at the Shougang Basketball Arena. Beijing Ducks will play their finals matches at the Wukesong Stadium if they advance," said Hai Zhenwen, Vice President of the Beijing Basketball Association on Thursday.

The Wukesong Stadium has the capacity of 18,000, almost three times larger than the Shougang Basketball Arena. It held the basketball competitions of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Hai said it is not decided yet whether the Ducks would move the home court to Wukesong Stadium permanently.

Local reports said the Guangdong Hongyuan, which already entered the finals, are also planning to move their finals home court to the Guangzhou International Sports and Entertainment Center, the hosting stadium of the basketball competitions of the Asian Games in 2010.
