Heavy fog in central China's Hubei Province Sunday morning triggered a spate of highway accidents in which at least five people were injured and natural gas leaked from a damaged gas tanker truck.
The fog already caused three accidents on a highway in Xiangyang city Sunday morning, including a muti-vehicle pileup and a four-car collision that has seriously wounded two people and left another three with light injuries.
The collision damaged a valve of an 18-tonne gas tanker truck and caused the leakage of natural gas. Firefighters from Xiangyang city managed to seal the valve to cut off the leakage, according to the city's fire department.
